Our Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is for healthcare providers who are involved in the emergency care of infants and children. Healthcare providers working in pediatric intensive care units (PICUs), emergency departments, and other settings where pediatric patients require emergency care should get PALS Certification. Our PALS Blended Learning Course Module is designed to offer a comprehensive and flexible approach to Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training. It consists of the following components:
Students will have access to interactive online modules that cover essential topics related to pediatric emergencies, including cardiac arrest management, respiratory support, and pediatric assessment. Students can study the online portion at their own pace and convenience. The online modules include videos, illustrations, simulations, and interactive activities for an engaging learning experience.
After the completion of online modules, students need to participate in hands-on skills sessions conducted by our experienced instructors at our facility in Sacramento. These sessions provide an opportunity for students to practice and demonstrate the application of PALS algorithms, including pediatric assessment, airway management, and cardiac rhythm recognition. In these sessions, students practice simulated pediatric emergencies. This helps them to apply what they’ve learned in real-life situations. This hands-on practice boosts their confidence which helps in managing pediatric emergencies effectively.
Here are the detailed topics covered in our PALS certification course module:
Upon successfully completing both online modules and in-person skills sessions, students are now eligible to receive PALS certification from the American Heart Association(AHA). The certification is valid for two years, and healthcare providers are advised to renew it before it expires to keep up with the latest advancements.
