Located in Citrus Height and Arden, our PALS classes combine online learning and in-person training to offer a flexible learning experience for busy healthcare providers working in pediatric care. This course allows participants to complete theoretical lessons online at their own pace. You can access the course material 24/7 at your convenience and cover all the pediatric emergency concepts. After finishing the online portion, participants need to attend an in-person skill session at our facility in Citrus Heights, which will take approximately about 4-6 hours. PALS certification is valid for only 2 years. Healthcare professionals are required to renew the certification before the expiry date. The duration of the PALS online course varies depending on the individual’s pace of learning. On average, the online portion of the course may take between 30 min to 3 hours. After the completion of the online course, the skill test will take about 20 mins to 1 hour.
Once you acquire your PALS certificate, it is valid for two years from the date of issuance. Healthcare providers should renew their certification before it expires to maintain their credentials. They will also receive Category 1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
While it’s not mandatory to have Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS) certification before taking a PALS course. However, having a valid basic life support (BLS) certificate is important.
You need to score 80% or above on your skill test to pass your PALS and get certified.
